Thomas Fendert is a self taught graphic illustrator and character designer from San Francisco, CA.
He attended Parsons School of Design in NYC for an illustration and film pathway. He is currently co writing and leading the art direction for a comic series titled ‘Mizuchi,’ and is holding open commissions for portraits through Instagram and his website.
Thomas’ personal work often depicts a dreamlike relationship between his subjects and their environment. The characters’ designs are rooted in reality while their surroundings softly transition into the bizarre. His use of organic shapes, reflections and bright contrasting colors portray surreal worlds while remaining familiar and nostalgic.
